Optris - Non-contact temperature measurement

Technology company Optris GmbH specializes in the development, production and sales of infrared sensors for non-contact temperature measurement. The product range covers portable infrared thermometers, stationary industrial IR thermometers as well as infrared thermal imaging cameras and calibration sources. These measuring instruments set new benchmarks for uses in OEM solutions and applications involving infrared monitoring of multiple measuring points.

Optris IR thermometers - rethinking maintenance procedures

Temperature monitoring is an essential tool for ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment. Fixed infrared thermometers are gaining importance in preventive maintenance applications. They are used predominantly in plants where electrical or mechanical components to be monitored are hard or impossible to reach. If temperature limits are exceeded an alarm signal is output to the control unit. This allows overheating conditions to be detected quickly in less than 1 second and thus improves the protection of your equipment.

Optris IR cameras - Quick detection of local warming

To see local warming and therefore weak points in our environment, Optris supplies the PI infrared camera series. Fast processes can be recorded with up to 128 Hz and analysed afterwards in slow motion. Exchangeable optics are offering the possibilities to adapt the camera to different measuring tasks. While 9° optics are rather suitable to monitors details from a greater distance, a microscope accessory can be used to measure objects of 5.5 x 4.2 mm2.
