Previously Pemamek has supplied wind tower welding solutions to Alstom Spain and based on this fruitful cooperation a repeat order to Brazil was made by Alstom.
The contract consists of PEMA wind tower fabrication line that includes PEMA Column and Booms, roller beds and Lincoln Electric Powerwave submerge arc welding machines integrated together with PEMA Weld Control system to Alstom´s Canoas Factory in state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. The project is a turnkey delivery with a start-up, training and supervision. The final delivery takes place in May 2013.
Mr Roberto Varela, welding process engineer of Alstom Spain, who acted as specialist in wind mill tower production in consulting Alstom Brazil, states that: "Pemamek was chosen because of their best technical solution, value for the money and delivery time. Pemamek’s references were also quite compelling. My experience of PEMA products in Spain also convinced me to continue working with PEMA. Additionally, increasing productivity solution, specific details and the quality of PEMA products helped us in deciding in their favour."
Mr Roberto Bochi, production manager of Alstom Brazil in Canoas, adds: "PEMA´s customer service has been exceptionally good, starting from the offer phase and continued during the project execution. PEMA met promised delivery times punctually, which were very important to us."
The order preceded negotiations with Pema and Alstom where all the requirements and needs of the customer were covered and the tailor-made design was presented to Alstom. Also prior to contract all technical details and equipment functionality were thoroughly consulted.
