Vuyk’s vision on: offshore port development

Denmark finished the construction of the first offshore wind farm, Vindeby in 1991. In the last 25 years, the offshore wind industry developed on many aspects. For example, the distance to shore increased from 2 kilometre in 1991 to more than a 100 kilometre for recently constructed wind farms. Furthermore, 8 MW turbines have already been installed, whereas 10 MW+ turbines are already to be expected.
